Fox News anchor Bret Baier delivered crushing news to President Donald Trump on Thursday on “Special Report with Bret Baier.”
“If you look at our new Fox News poll for the first 100 days job approval, compared to other presidents … the president is at 44 percent.”
The Wednesday poll, arguably with a favorable Republican bent, showed Trump’s approval at a record low compared to other presidents including Joe Biden, who tracked 10 points ahead at 54 percent, and Barack Obama and George W. Bush, who rated 62 percent and 63 percent, respectively.
Trump even came in lower than he did in his first term, with Trump 1.0 beating Trump 2.0 by 1 percent at 45 percent.

Fox News Chief political analyst Brit Hume said the president’s favorability was sinking under a legion of topics.
“There were a list of issues that we asked people how they felt about and the president is underwater in all but one — and that one is the border,” said Hume. “Everything else, including immigration — which for some reason was separated from ‘the border’ in this particular poll. He’s a little bit underwater on immigration. He’s way down at the moment on the economy, and even way down further on tariffs, which of course are a part of that. Foreign policy rating isn’t really good, and so on.”
Hume said the low numbers were “not really unexpected” because Trump’s overall approval rating is 44 percent, adding he personally felt the slump reflected the public’s reaction to “a work in progress.”
“They haven’t got any trade deals yet. The tariffs are out there and people are worried about them and don’t like them. We don’t know how that’s going to play out. We don’t know how the foreign policy endeavors are going to pan out. We don’t have peace between Ukraine and Russia, which he promised There’s lot of work to be completed.”
