A MAGA lawmaker told Democrats and “the left” to “look in the mirror” after Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) and his family escaped a firebombing attack that scorched the governor’s mansion.
Shapiro’s official residence was attacked in an arson incident early Sunday. Cody Balmer, 38, scaled a fence at the Harrisburg mansion, broke windows with a hammer, and threw homemade Molotov cocktails fashioned from beer bottles and gasoline into two rooms, igniting flames.
Shapiro, his family, and guests safely evacuated and no one was hurt. The property sustained extensive damage, however.

Balmer said he targeted Shapiro over his views on the Israel-Palestine conflict, expressing outrage over what he believed Shapiro “wants to do to the Palestinian people.” Balmer also referenced “perceived injustices to the people of Palestine,” investigators said.
Balmer faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated arson, terrorism, and burglary.
Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA) joined “The Bob Cordaro Show” on WILK Newsradio and condemned the “absolutely awful” attack on Passover, and blamed Democrats for rhetoric that has led to politically charged violence, including attacks on Teslas and Tesla dealerships.
“You got those on the left continuing to make, you know, violent types of hostile commentary. And this happens and we all jump on board and say this needs to be condemned by all. And so the left’s gotta look in the mirror here too,” said Meuser.
He added, “They gotta tone it down too. I mean, every action Josh Shapiro has taken against the president has either been a lawsuit or a falsehood. That’s not helpful either.”
Cordaro called Shapiro “one of the amen chorus for the Democrat lunatics.”
Meuser knocked Shapiro for not denouncing the car bomb that went off in front of Trump’s Las Vegas hotel in January.
“So look, let’s just take a breath and realize that this sort of thing needs to be condemned by both sides all the time, 100% of the time,” he concluded.
