The deal calls for building a 65,000-seat stadium at the former RFK Stadium site, which served as the team’s home from 1961 to 1996 before moving to Maryland.
The team must contribute about $2.7 billion, and the city will invest roughly $1.1 billion over eight years. funds also going toward housing, parks, a sports complex, and other amenities on the 170+ acre campus.
The stadium is expected to open in five years, pending approval from the city council.
