President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administration, Dr. Mehmet Oz, appeared before the Senate Finance Committee on Friday for a confirmation hearing on Friday. One thing that was noticeable to those who tuned in was his hair.
Retired Marine Stephen Cottrill asked, “where’s your shoe polish dyed hair?”
“‘Doctor’ Oz stopped dying his hair. He must think it works better to be gray in his new ROLE,” said podcaster Halli Casser-Jayne.

After a discussion between Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Oz about registered nurses in nursing homes, one person alleged, “‘Dr. Oz’ is about as legit as is his Blond hair.”
Another questioned whether the hair change was an effort to appeal to Trump, while a different account named the color “Trump Yellow.” One woman watching the Oz hearing asked who the man was, including a screen capture of the doctor.
Trade association V.P. Philip Grone said, “Oz went to his stylist and said ‘give me the full Trump.'”
Social media influencer Ed Krassenstein on Friday turned to fact-check Oz when he promised Trump would never ask his administration nominees to break the law.
Democrats have asked this question of other nominees, including Trump’s labor secretary and director of national intelligence. Both answered that Trump would never ask them to break the law.
Krassenstein posted a list of things he said were instances in which Trump “literally has done it over and over again.”
