President Donald Trump appeared briefly stunned Friday afternoon when he was struck in the face by a reporter’s microphone.
Video posted on social media showed the president taking questions before boarding Air Force One as he departs from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. During a question about Gaza, a reporter’s microphone can be seen coming up from the bottom of the frame and bumping into his mouth, and whipping off screen.
Trump’s gaze quickly shifts to the offending reporter, before looking down and raising his eyebrows.

“You’re concerned about the situation in Gaza? What are the hopes now to get the hostages back?” the reporter asks.
But Trump wasn’t listening.
“She just became a big story tonight. Right? Did you see that?” he quipped.
