On Friday morning a substantial number of Donald Trump’s loyal supporters made it clear that they don’t agree with his choice to lead the GOP caucus in the House.
Just hours before members of the U.S. House of Representatives were set to begin the nomination and voting process to elect a new speaker, Donald Trump jumped into the fray once more and reiterated his support for current House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Good luck today for Speaker Mike Johnson, a fine man of great ability, who is very close to having 100% support. A win for Mike today will be a big win for the Republican Party, and yet another acknowledgment of our 129 year most consequential Presidential Election!! – A BIG AFFIRMATION, INDEED. MAGA!”

That received immediate blowback on the social media platform, with one MAGA supporter, with a history of lauding comments from Steve Bannon, responding, “Mike Johnson has betrayed us from the start and seems to put Ukraine First in everything. He has cozied up to Schumer and bends the knee for his demands. It’s a no for me.”
That was just the beginning.
Ellen Streiff, whose bio includes “America First” and “Maga Kingdon,” chimed in with, “Good luck with Mike Johnson as your Speaker. He is 100% Swamp. We have tried to tell you NO to him. Watch now how he undermines your agenda (which is the agenda of WE THE PEOPLE) and makes it look like it is never his doing.”
“I realize that confirmation is at the top of the list with no issues, but MAGA supporters believe this guy ABSOLUTELY does not have the best interest of Republicans at the front of his decisions. There is no way a conservative would have brought that 1507 page Bill to the floor! I believe he’s compromised and Democrats work him and they know it! Ukraine funding alone should be enough to question him not to mention his vote for FISA against Americans! “You can’t be serious after everything he’s done and not done!” raged Raider13, whose stream is full of attacks on immigrants in the U.S.
Self-advertised “World Patriot,MAGA” KrissAB smelled a conspiracy, writing, “BS where is the real Trump? Why is fake Trump making bad decisions? Everyone knows Johnson is a RINO So what’s the deal?”
“Sorry Mr President Trump, he is NOT a FINE MAN! He sold us Hakeem and Schumer!! He did not help the boarder NOT ONE CENT!! He gave our tax money to Ukraine! He lied! He never released the J6 video! I hope you’re NOT ENDORSING THESE ACTIONS. WE ARE MAGA” added Sharan G who wants to “Make DC accountable.”
Magaman26, whose Truth Social handle is self-explanatory, warned, “Love you Mr. President but this man is a swamp creature who will stab you in the back”
“Dude, really??? Johnson is a spineless weasel that constantly bends the knee to Anti-American Cabal Criminals! Its pathetically SAD to see the challenge in finding Pro-American politicians in the US Govt!!!” accused The ChasMan, who has amplified posts defending Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).
“You must be living in a cave,” wrote Miket6162 who has urged Trump to “clean house.” He then added, “Johnson is a traitor to the party and he has proven that MANY TIMES I vote no confidence in this rino.”
